PHYSICAL CULTURE AND HEALTH EDUCATION - THEIR HISTORICAL VARIABILITYThe process of civilization and socio-cultural changes taking place in the modern world are reflected in the state of physical, mental and social health of the human population. The human body can be compared to a complex mechanism whose reliable functioning depends on proper maintenance – a proper diet and regular physical exercise. Hundreds of thousands of years ago, our ancestors spent their days searching for nuts and fruits, hunting for meat, and fleeing from lions and cheetahs. Life was hard, and the diet consisted mainly of fruits, seeds, roots, and berries. Primitive people had to travel long distances to find water, and they lived in constant fear of attack from dangerous animals or other enemies. In order to survive and have offspring, they had to be healthy and physically fit. Our bodies have not changed since the Stone Age, although we live in the age of space flight. There is more and more scientific evidence that the current lifestyle is not quite right for us. The whole human being can function better, be healthy longer, and endure illness more easily if a person changes his habits. At the same time, the prospects for the development of physical culture are closely related to the whole of this civilization. Physical culture is the culture of man, and everything that concerns man depends on all the elements that make up this civilization.

Abstract

The process of civilization and socio-cultural changes taking place in the modern world are reflected in the state of physical, mental and social health of the human population.
