Abstract

The transformation of approaches to the training of non-commissioned officers and enlisted personnel of the engineering troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine during wartime is objectively determined by contemporary security challenges, the dynamics of combat operations, and the technological advancement of the military sphere. The effectiveness of performing service and combat tasks directly depends on the quality of military specialists’ training, which must meet the requirements of mobility, dynamism, practical orientation, and adaptability to combat conditions. The modern training system should acquire a proactive character, focusing on developing the ability to operate under conditions of uncertainty, high technological intensity, and rapidly changing tactical situations. In the current context of military science development, engineering support is becoming a system-forming element of combat operations, which increases the requirements for the professional competencies of military personnel in engineering units. A leading direction for improving training is the comprehensive digitalization of military education, which involves the implementation of information and communication technologies, electronic educational resources, training systems, multimedia and hypermedia tools, as well as artificial intelligence, virtual reality, and augmented reality technologies. The use of these technologies contributes to the intensification of the training process, the development of practical skills, the simulation of combat situations, and the enhancement of the objectivity of learning outcome assessment. At the same time, the implementation of digital technologies is accompanied by a number of limitations and challenges, including the need to maintain confidentiality, information security risks, the high cost of technical support, the difficulty of reproducing stressful combat conditions, as well as the need for individualized learning and the provision of highly qualified personnel support for the educational process.
