Abstract

The scientific work presents an analysis of modern scientific sources on the effectiveness of therapeutic methods in patients with chronic nonspecific low back pain (CNLBP). The purpose of the work: to assess and compare the impact of various physical therapy programs on the mobility of the lumbar spine, functional status, intensity of pain syndrome, as well as indicators of strength and endurance of back muscles in patients with CNLBP. Research methods: analysis of scientific and methodological literature, clinical and instrumental methods for assessing the mobility of the lumbar spine (intensity of pain syndrome by visual analog scale (VAS), level of functional limitations - by the Roland–Morris questionnaire (RMDQ); functional test for determining the strength and endurance of back muscles Biering–Sørensen); methods of mathematical statistics. A review of scientific publications, monographs, peer-reviewed articles and materials from scientometric databases covering the use of core stabilization exercises, massage and hydrokinesiotherapy (pool exercises) in comprehensive physical rehabilitation was conducted. The impact of these methods on reducing pain, restoring functional status and increasing strength and endurance of back muscles was considered. The analysis showed that the combined use of stabilization exercises and hydrokinesiotherapy provides the most pronounced reduction in pain intensity, increasing the amplitude of movements in the lumbar spine and increasing muscle endurance. Massage in combination with stabilization exercises helps reduce afferent discomfort and improves tolerance to loads, which increases the effectiveness of active interventions. It was established that the combination of active physical exercises with an optimal environment for performing movements (aquatic environment) creates conditions for the safe restoration of functional capabilities and motor confidence of patients.
