Abstract

The article examines the problem of developing subject-methodological competence of future physical education teachers as a key component of their professional training in higher education institutions. It is emphasized that the current stage of educational development in Ukraine requires updating the content of teacher preparation according to the requirements of the New Ukrainian School and an innovative educational environment [1,2,5,7]. A thorough analysis of recent studies highlights the structure of subject-methodological competence, which includes cognitive, activity-based, motivational-value, and reflective components [15,17]. Particular attention is paid to interdisciplinary approaches that integrate knowledge from pedagogy, psychology, anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics, ensuring the systemic and holistic nature of professional training [5,9,18]. The role of innovative pedagogical technologies, including project-based methods, interactive learning, and digital educational resources, in forming professional readiness is emphasized [9,14,16]. It is demonstrated that the technologization of the educational process, including the use of interactive platforms and mobile applications, enhances learning effectiveness and develops students’ professional mobility [12,13,16]. Results of our own research confirm the effectiveness of integrating interdisciplinary, innovative, and technological approaches in the professional preparation of future physical education teachers [15,17,18]. The practical significance of the study lies in the development of scientifically grounded methodological principles for modernizing professional training, contributing to the enhancement of subject-methodological competence and readiness for innovative activity among future teachers of physical education.
