The modern development of sports training is increasingly associated with the introduction of innovative technologies that enable objective monitoring of physical load, athletes’ functional state, and the overall effectiveness of the training process. The use of technological monitoring tools contributes to improving training management, optimizing physical loads, and enhancing sports performance. However, despite their significant potential, the practical implementation of such technologies at the regional level remains insufficiently studied. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of use of modern monitoring technologies in the training process of athletes representing different sports in the Chernivtsi region. Methods. The study involved 67 athletes aged 17–25 years practicing karate, pankration, hand-to-hand combat, football, basketball, and volleyball in sports clubs and training sections. The research methods included analysis of scientific and methodological literature, questionnaire survey, and descriptive statistics (absolute values (n) and percentages (%)). Results. The findings revealed that only 28 athletes (41.8%) use modern monitoring technologies during training, while 39 respondents (58.2%) do not apply such tools. Among those who use technologies (n = 28), the most common are heart rate monitors and fitness trackers (24 athletes; 85.7%). GPS technologies are used by 15 athletes (53.6%), and video analysis systems by 10 athletes (35.7%). The main factors limiting the use of modern technologies include insufficient funding (29 athletes; 43.3%), lack of equipment (14 athletes; 20.9%), and insufficient awareness of technological possibilities (12 athletes; 17.9%). At the same time, 46 respondents (68.7%) positively assess the prospects of using modern technologies in sports training and support their wider implementation. Conclusions. The results indicate a clear gap between the level of awareness of modern technologies and their actual use in the training process. The findings highlight the need to improve material and technical support in sports organizations and increase awareness of technological tools among athletes and coaches.
