The study analyzes the relevance of applying fitness technologies during the period of distance learning as a means of maintaining physical performance and psychophysical health of student youth under martial law conditions. The role of strength fitness is identified as a practical and effective format of physical activity suitable for organizing training sessions in a gym, at home, and in open-air spaces.
The purpose of the research was to provide scientific justification and to develop an effective strength development program for young men under conditions of limited material and technical resources and restricted training space, with an emphasis on bodyweight exercises and the possibility of implementation in home settings and open public areas. The research was conducted at Zaporizhzhia Polytechnic National University and involved the development of an experimental program for organizing strength fitness training at home.
The empirical stage of the study lasted from July to October 2024. It involved 36 students who voluntarily provided informed consent to participate in the pedagogical experiment and to implement the proposed program.
The principles of designing a strength fitness program for young men were characterized, taking into account limited access to equipment and training space; the feasibility of using bodyweight exercises and minimal equipment was substantiated. The training program was developed and structured into three levels of physical fitness (beginner, intermediate, and advanced), ensuring gradual load progression, variability, and the possibility of individualization. The possibilities of implementing the program in open public spaces, particularly in the “Active Parks,” were outlined, and their potential as an accessible environment for systematic physical activity was demonstrated.
It was concluded that the combination of digital formats for organizing training sessions and the use of “Active Parks” resources contributes to the formation of motivation for regular exercise, the development of independence, and a responsible attitude toward health preservation.
