SYSTEMATIZATION OF COMPONENTS OF REHABILITATION PROCESS PERIODIZATION AND THERAPEUTIC SESSION PROGRAMS

Abstract

The article presents the results of a study aimed at systematizing the components of rehabilitation process periodization and therapeutic session programs. Based on an in-depth analysis of the regulatory framework and contemporary scientific literature, a significant methodological gap between strategic planning documents and the practical implementation of rehabilitation interventions has been identified. Existing regulatory documents predominantly perform managerial and reporting functions and do not provide sufficient methodological guidance for specialists directly involved in rehabilitation practice.

The study substantiates the feasibility of introducing periodization as a tactical planning tool that ensures consistency between the individual rehabilitation plan and therapy programs while enhancing the effectiveness of intervention delivery. The conceptual framework of rehabilitation periodization is clarified, where a period is defined as a temporal characteristic of the rehabilitation process, whereas a stage is interpreted as a methodological characteristic determined by specific therapeutic objectives and patient functional status.

Key components of rehabilitation periodization are systematized, including rehabilitation periods and stages, intervention volumes, degree of patient participation, load levels, and motor regimes. The proposed model integrates temporal characteristics with rehabilitation intervention modes, enabling accurate dosing of load intensity, selection of appropriate motor regimes, and regulation of patient involvement at each period, stage, and session of rehabilitation.

Scientific novelty lies in the development of a comprehensive and function-oriented model of rehabilitation periodization that eliminates terminological inconsistencies, shifts the focus from territorial to functional planning principles, and serves as a methodological basis for the formation of individualized rehabilitation programs. The proposed approach facilitates coherent tactical and operational planning, improves adaptability of therapeutic interventions, and contributes to higher rehabilitation efficiency and patient-centered care.
