In modern conditions of development of medical rehabilitation, special attention is paid to the quality of professional activity of specialists who ensure restoration of motor, functional and psychophysical capabilities of patients. One of the key factors determining the success of the rehabilitation process is the availability of safe and harmless working conditions for the staff of rehabilitation rooms. They create the basis for effective work, help maintain the health of the specialist, and ensure stable positive results of recovery and treatment.
The work investigated working conditions in rehabilitation offices and their impact on the state of working capacity and health of employees. The research was conducted by surveying rehabilitation specialists working in public and private offices. The survey participants assessed their working conditions and indicated factors of the working environment that, in their opinion, have an adverse effect on their health. In addition, respondents indicated important measures, in their opinion, to improve working conditions and reduce or eliminate the impact of risk factors. Based on the researched and analyzed responses, diagrams of the respondents' responses were constructed for clarity and demonstration of the results. Hygienic requirements for the factors indicated in the responses, occupational health and safety requirements for working conditions in rehabilitation rooms were established and measures to improve them were proposed.
The comfort and safety of the worker affect the quality of interaction and work with the patient. In comfortable conditions, the rehabilitation therapist shows more patience, can communicate more effectively and maintain the patient's motivation to perform exercises and conduct physiotherapy procedures. Therefore, the importance of ensuring harmless and safe working conditions for rehabilitation therapists is an important task for occupational health and safety specialists.
