Abstract

The article presents an analysis of the problem of using the potential of folk music in the educational process of the People's Republic of China. Their significance for the training of future music-pedagogical workers is emphasized. The views of teachers and scientists of the People's Republic of China regarding the requirements for teaching musical subjects are presented: revealing the peculiarities of the historical development of national music, the aesthetic and artistic uniqueness of works of folk musical art, the purely national specificity of musical works of folk art.

The author highlights the main problems that inhibit the effective use of folk music in the education system of the People's Republic of China: insufficient scientific and theoretical development of the problem of folk music, lack of a holistic analysis and grounded theoretical concepts of the problem of national music as a pedagogical phenomenon; insufficient number of special disciplines, topics that are directly aimed at the study of folk musical art; shortage of highly qualified teaching personnel

It is shown that the problem of the need to modernize and significantly update the content of music-pedagogical education, to supplement it with courses of national orientation, to expand the subject matter of existing courses is defined as an actual one in the scientific space of the China. The subject of the discussion is the following issues: updating the singing teaching methodology, supplementing vocal courses with studying and mastering the technique of folk singing; expansion of the nomenclature of instruments used to accompany folk musical works; teaching performance skills courses as a complex discipline, which includes not only the technique of singing, playing musical instruments, etc., but also artistry, plastic arts.

The author summarized and highlighted the main ways of successfully solving the current problem: the development and wide implementation of folk music disciplines at a high professional level in the educational practice of the People's Republic of China; creation of active and effective forms of interaction between educational institutions on problems of improving the teaching of folk music disciplines; strengthening of the theoretical component of folk music courses, development of modern educational and methodical literature; creation of an effective system of improving the qualifications of music teachers, improving their professional training.
