The article analyzes the peculiarities of the development of coordination abilities of young football players in the educational and training process. It was determined that in competitive football players need to effectively solve constantly arising motor tasks that occur in unpredictable and changing situations. Solving these tasks is associated with coordination abilities, and their development can determine the prospects of young football players for further sports improvement. The analysis of the scientific and methodological literature showed that both dexterity and coordination are based on a set of relatively independent types of coordination abilities, which are quite diverse and specific. They can also be differentiated into separate groups based on the characteristics of their manifestation, assessment criteria, and factors that determine them. Solving motor tasks in football directly depends on the ability to coordinate individual movements that are performed simultaneously or sequentially in a motor action. Successful execution of such movements allows you to win in time, save strength, play the game at a fast pace, combinationally and effectively.
It was found that the level of development of coordination abilities depends on the combination of various psychophysiological functions: sensorimotor, proprioceptive, perceptive and intellectual. Football players with a high level of sensory and perceptual abilities perform most successfully in competitions. The factors that condition the manifestation and determine the level of development of coordination abilities of young football players have been determined. Balance and sense of rhythm exercises are offered for young football players. The criteria for the development of coordination abilities can be four signs, on the basis of which abilities are evaluated: correctness, speed, rationality and ingenuity, which have qualitative and quantitative characteristics. Testing of young football players should be carried out once every two months, which will allow the coach to monitor the dynamics of results and the effectiveness of training programs.
